Our Story

ALL IN THE FAMILY

The Start of the Family Business

Franklin & Martha Butler moved to North Carolina in 1998 from New Jersey after the stock market crashed. The next chapter brought them to their first restaurant location in Aberdeen, NC.

In 2001 after the tragic events of 9/11, their daughter, Christal, left her career in the financial services industry in New York and began working in the family business.

Christal completed the McDonald's Next Generation Program and became an owner/operator in 2008.

Continuing the Legacy

Hershell and Christal built and opened their first restaurant location in Taylortown, NC in 2016.

Hershell started his career with McDonalds in 1995 as a crew member. He worked his way up, becoming a store manager just two years later. He worked from 2001 - 2007 for McDonald's Corporation in New Jersey in several different roles, before moving to North Carolina. Hershell became an owner/operator in 2014.

Hershell and Christal accredit McDonald's for bringing them together to start a family of their own.

Looking to the future

The Cole family believes in creating a deep connection in the community. They wish to make an impact through their employees by giving them tools to succeed. It warms their hearts to see their employees grow, continue their education, and excel in their careers.
